Mesa Bank Board Member Rich Crandall and Commercial Loan Officer Conrad Morin Selected for Mesa Leadership Program
Mesa, Arizona: September 13, 2004 - Neil Barna, president and CEO of Mesa Bank, is pleased to announce that Mesa Bank Board of Director member Rich Crandall and Assistant Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer Conrad Morin have been selected to take part in the 2004-05 Mesa Leadership, Training and Development Program.
"Rich and Conrad's involvement in this prestigious leadership program signifies their commitment to Mesa and the East Valley," said Barna. "Rich is a valued member of the Mesa Bank Board, a solid businessman and a concerned Mesa resident who is heavily involved in the community. Conrad is a talented commercial lender who is genuinely interested in Mesa and wants to see that it continues to be a great place to live, work and do business."
The 10-month leadership program, which got underway in August and concludes next May, is designed to enhance participants knowledge about the civic, business and social organizations throughout the Mesa community as well as encourage their community leadership endeavors.
For commercial lender Conrad Morin, taking part in the Mesa Leadership, Training and Development Program is a chance to increase his business contacts, meet like-minded people who want to make Mesa a better place to live and do business, and better understand how the city interfaces with private enterprise.
During the program, Morin will be job-shadowing a representative of Williams Gateway Airport, a former U.S. Air Force base in Mesa that has become a cargo airport and could be expanded into greater Phoenix's second major commercial passenger airport. "Williams Gateway has the potential to take a lot of pressure for passenger service off of (Phoenix) Sky Harbor (International Airport)," Morin added.
Rich Crandall has been a member of the bank's Board of Directors since early 2003. He is president of CN Resource, a Mesa-based child nutrition consulting company and CFO of Crandall Corporate Dietitians. He is currently a candidate for Mesa School Board and was a delegate to the recent Republican National Convention in New York City.
Morin and Crandall are both graduates of Brigham Young University. Moran has a bachelor's degree in business management, while Crandall has bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting. Crandall also has a master's degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.
