Mesa Bank's Second Full-Service Office Debuts Today

Mesa, Arizona: September 15, 2003 - Mesa Bank's second full-service office is located along the pathway to this sprawling city's corridor for future business, retail and residential development -- and it's not too far off the local airport's runways either.

Named after Mesa's nearby municipal airport, Mesa Bank's new Falcon Field Office sits at the entrance to the new Mesa Commerce Center, two doors away from a massive Super Wal-Mart store, which is scheduled to open next year, and across the street from a new upscale residential development.

As work crews prepared the Falcon Field Office recently for its opening today, Jim LeCheminant, the office's president, relaxed in his office with a cell phone in hand. Between phone conversations, he explained that the new office had been a loan production office since last January and is getting off to a running start."Mesa Bank is financing two new office warehouses next door in the Mesa Commerce Center as well as a new 13,000-square-foot wholesale doughnut production facility across the street," LeCheminant said. "We're pleased to get the office open. We've been generating a lot of excitement over the last several months."

The office is opening with a four-person staff. In addition to LeCheminant, the staff includes VP/Commercial Loan Officer Steve Mitchell, Bank Operations Supervisor Christine Villanueva, Personal Banker Amber Steele, and a client service representative. Eventually, the office will have a staff of nine, including another commercial loan officer, a credit analyst, and three more client services representatives.

Located at 1733 N. Greenfield Road, the Falcon Field Office is directly across from orange groves that are rapidly being developed for new homes. The airport, which is less than a mile north of the bank office, currently serves as home base for more than 900 aircraft and an industrial park with more than 30 aviation-related businesses, and more than 50 commercial enterprises.

LeCheminant, who joined Mesa Bank last year, has 30 years of business experience and has lived in Mesa since 1972. He is active with the Mesa Baseline Rotary Club and the Mesa District Boy Scouts, and is beginning a three-year term on the Mesa United Way Board. Previously, he served two terms with the Mesa Museum Board and worked for the City of Mesa for four years.
