Mesa Bank Salutes Founding Board Member Debra Duvall,
Mesa Schools Superintendent Duvall Receives Mesa United Way's Spirit of Mesa Award

Mesa, Arizona: August 17, 2005 - Neil Barna, president/CEO of Mesa Bank, joins the other members of the Mesa Bank Board of Directors in congratulating founding bank board member Dr. Debra Duvall on receiving the Spirit of Mesa Award from the Mesa United Way.

Duvall, who is the superintendent of the Mesa School District, Arizona's largest with 75,000 students, received the award at the Mesa United Way Leadership Giving Society Reception on Aug. 16. In receiving the award, Duvall, who is also a member of the Mesa United Way Board of Directors, was recognized for her long-time United Way involvement and community leadership.

"Debra is an outstanding public servant and school administrator and we are proud to be associated with her through her role as a member of the Mesa Bank Board of Directors," said Barna, who founded Mesa Bank on Oct. 20, 1998.

Barna pointed out that Mesa Bank and its employees have generously contributed to the Mesa United Way campaigns since the bank was founded. Additionally, Mesa Bank has reported 100-percent participation from employees in the Mesa United Way campaigns the past three years.

In addition to Barna and Duvall, the other Mesa business and community leaders on the Mesa Bank Board of Directors are: Robert Evans, president, Baron Resources Inc.; Stewart Hogue, principal, Salk Management; Philip Kellis, partner, Dobson Ranch Inn; Ruth Nesbitt, community volunteer; Wayne Pomeroy, owner, Pomeroy's Men's Store; Daniel Skinner, owner and manager, LeBaron & Carroll LSI Inc.; Terry Turk, president, Sun American Mortgage Co.; and James Zaharis, president, The Zaharis Group.
